I´m living in the lap of luxury tonight. After a few long days of climbing and descending, climbing and descending, climbing and descending, my legs are shot, and I am realizing Zaragoza is one day further away than I expected. Combined with the fact that:
- I haven´t paid for lodging the past two nights
- Sleeping in a tent, on a thin inflatable mattress does not compare with sleeping in a bed
- Last night I camped and it rained a lot (though the inside of the tent stayed nice and dry!)
- Through a service called CouchSurfing it looks like I found someone who can put me up on their couch for the one or two nights that I´ll be in Zaragoza
I decided to splurge tonight and stay in a hostel, or a pensión, as it´s called here. Basically it´s a commercial local that rents out rooms upstairs. For the grand cost of €14, I have two twin beds, electric lighting, and a shared bathroom with hot water that made for a wonderful shower.
This particular internet cafe is cutting into my budget, so I´m going to cut it short, but stay tuned for more in-depth analysis and behind the scenes footage.
